Considered one of the most important works of 20th-century music, Porgy and Bess has inspired audiences and musicians ever since its 1935 premiere. In addition to recorded performances of the original work, this one-of-a-kind American opera has been interpreted by jazz, rock, soul, blues, and bluegrass artists. Join Cincinnati Opera’s Evans Mirageas as he leads an audio tour of recordings inspired by the Gershwins’ only opera.
