Frequently Asked Questions
+ Could these policies change if there is another variant or surge in COVID cases?
These policies may change at any time. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we have monitored regional data, as well as the guidance of public health and government officials, along with our medical advisor, and we have implemented COVID mitigation protocols accordingly. If our community’s risk level changes, we may reevaluate these policies and could require additional measures to ensure the safety of our audience. Likewise, we are committed to the health and safety of our artists and staff; there may be circumstances in which additional COVID-mitigation measures may be required to ensure their ability to work safely. We will continue to monitor conditions and adjust our protocols as needed; please continue to check this page for up-to-date information.
+ Is it safe to attend a performance?
Yes. According to public health and government officials, the best prevention strategy is to stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and boosters. You may also wear a mask for an added layer of safety, especially if you are non-vaccinated or have a medical condition that puts you at high risk. We encourage you to talk to your healthcare provider if you have additional questions about your personal health situation.
+ Can I still wear a mask to Cincinnati Opera performances?
Audience members are welcome to wear masks at any Cincinnati Opera event.
+ What safety measures are still in place?
Air ventilation has been optimized throughout Music Hall with high-grade filters and frequent re-circulation of air, and both venues are routinely cleaned and sanitized. Disposable masks will be available to audience members who wish to use them, and hand sanitization stations will be available throughout the venues for accessibility and convenience. In addition, we encourage guests to purchase and present mobile tickets for an easy, touch-free experience.
+ If the people around me are not wearing a mask, will I be able to move to another seat where I am more comfortable?
The Box Office and event staff will make every attempt to reseat you in a less populated area based on availability.
