For the 10th year, Cincinnati Opera returns to its first home, the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, where performances were held from 1920 to 1971. Relive the magic of the Zoo Opera days with hosts Evans Mirageas, The Harry T. Wilks Artistic Director of Cincinnati Opera, and Thane Maynard, Director of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, along with a colorful cast of singers and zoo animals. New this year! POWER OF HER: Cincinnati Opera’s 10th annual Back to the Zoo concert is a tribute to four women who have provided fundamental support to Cincinnati Opera and the Cincinnati Zoo. Anna Sinton Taft and Mary Emery saved the bankrupt Zoo in 1917, and were integral to the creation of Cincinnati Opera in 1920. The Marge and Charles J. Schott Foundation and Bobbie Unnewehr have provided support for the Back to the Zoo concert since its inception in 2010. Learn more about POWER OF HER.

Special thanks to The Marge & Charles J. Schott Foundation for sponsoring ten years of Back to the Zoo.
